Our 2023 season is about to start

March 24, 2023

A busy winter of maintenance is nearly over and the new season is about to begin. The Canal & River Trust have been carrying out extensive works on the canal since the beginning of November last year and Nigel has been working hard on our boats all winter too.

All five of our narrow boats have been taken out of the water and have spent time in the barn at Heron's Rest Marina, where the hulls have been blacked and they have all been repainted in their blue and yellow livery. The engines have been serviced and some internal works have also been carried out where necessary.

Now the canal is slowly coming back to life; lambs are in the fields, the first ducklings have been seen on the canal, the trees are all in bud and the birds are beginning to nest. Spring really is a delightful time to be on the canal and we are looking forward to welcoming customers once again.

If you haven't enjoyed time on the beautiful Monmouthshire and Brecon canal then why not book your narrowboat holiday today. You won't be disappointed!
