Another season is over

November 29, 2021

Another season is over and this one was our busiest so far.  With travel abroad still being difficult because of Covid plenty of people wanted a quiet, peaceful holiday  where they could isolate on their own holiday narrowboat but still enjoy a meal out if they wished.

Unfortunately for some Covid travel restrictions have delayed their holidays for a second year but we hope that 2022 will enable them to take their long awaited holiday on the Mon & Brec.  We are very grateful to all those who postponed their holidays rather then cancelling them and we are sure the wait will be worth it.

Gilwern Countess was finally added to the fleet at the end of May and has proved very popular with guests, being fully booked all season.  We have been really pleased with the feedback we have received about the layout so if you would like to consider her for your next holiday take a look at her layout and availability here.

Our winter maintenance programme is now under way and  all five boats will be spending some time in the barn at Heron’s Rest marina having a re-paint.  Princess and Lady will be fitted with new windows and some internal work will also be carried out if time allows.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful team of seasonal cleaners who have worked so hard again this year to keep our boats clean and our customers safe,  we couldn’t do it without them.   Louisa, Rhiannon, Freya, Libby, Sam and Matt enjoy your well deserved break!

If you’d like to experience the peace and tranquility of the Mon & Brec canal then why not check out our availability for 2022.
